About Us
Windermere Pool Services is a premier pool cleaning company offering pool cleaning, maintenance, education and repairs throughout Orlando and Central Florida, including: Bay Hill, Clermont, Dr. Phillips, Ferndale, Gotha, Lake Buena Vista, Metro West, Minneola, Montverde, Ocoee, Windermere and Winter Garden. We are licensed and insured to service residential and commercial swimming pools.
Our History
Formed in 1987, the company was originally located on Main Street in the heart of downtown Windermere. At that time, the population of Windermere was approximately 1,600 people (yes, one thousand six hundred!). Back then, the West Orange area was very different than today — where we seem to be just another part of the urban sprawl of Metro Orlando. Orange groves were everywhere and there were few subdivisions. Windermere had its own airport on Maguire Road until 1994 when it was closed to be replaced by a Publix Supermarket.
Since that time, Windermere Pool Services has undergone ownership, location and name changes — all moving us toward the premier, service-focused organization we are today. One of our biggest changes came in 2005 when we closed the retail portion of our business. Although we had a busy store and an established clientele, we chose to redirect our focus and specialize in cleaning and repair services. We decided to devote all our experience, knowledge and energy solely on the service industry.
Expertise in our trade, combined with the natural growth in the area, allowed us to quickly become the premier swimming pool service company we are today. Known for our superior service and well-trained service technicians, and recognized by our company vans — neighborhoods confidently referred Windermere Pool Services — and we grew.
Service Area
The pace of the area's growth has slowed over the last two years but business for us has continued to flourish. While we are often asked to expand our service area to to new locations, we have remained true to our belief that serving a small area gives us the ability to better focus on the quality of our service. Our goal is to ensure our clients receive the best quality service possible.

Joe & Jenny Burns, Owners
Windermere Pool Services is owned and operated by Joe & Jenny Burns of Maguire Road, in Ocoee (the center of the company's operations). Originally from the United Kingdom, Joe, Jenny and their four children — Sam, Josh, Hannah and Danny — relocated to Florida in 2004 to take over the business from the previous owners Howard and Peggy Haire on their retirement. Joe came to the swimming pool industry after 24 years in banking. Among his strengths are his strong sense of the importance of customer communications and his near obsession with the quality of service he provides. Jenny also has a banking and administration background and is extremely detail oriented. When Jenny says something will be done by Thursday, it will probably be done on Wednesday.
